Given the global pandemic, doctors around the world have begun to monitor COVID-19 with lung ultrasound and have published findings that show ultrasound is a useful tool for patient management. Hedgehog Medical is a Waterloo computer vision start-up that is passionate about building repeatable and accurate software measurement tools to improve the quality of life for people around the globe.

For 4 years we have been providing universities in North America with a research tool to extract measurements from artery ultrasound video. Hedgehog Medical is now focusing our efforts on building a computer vision software aid to assist physicians in extracting measurements from lung ultrasound video. This autopilot for lung ultrasound has the potential to reduce variability, training time, and allow for quicker triage and monitoring of patients.
